They have the ability Hex of Disruption (The creature's ranged attack reduces the Defence of the target creature and all enemy creatures around it by 10 for 2 turns.). Or is there something about damage calculation that makes 1x90 better than several smaller stacks?Įxample 2: I have 100 Arch Lichs. 3x30 certainly have the advantage to split their damage. Is that the only downside, or is there something about stats as well?Įxample 1: Do 3x30 units deal less damage than 1x90? Especially important for ranged units. Therefore you might think that small stacks are bad. ![]() That seems to be a mechanic to also prevent splitting unit stacks into several small stacks (for example you can remove a units retaliation by "sacrificing" one skeleton.) ![]() In Heroes 7 you get a penalty in morale if one of your stacks dies during combat and your opponent gets a morale boost.
